Music for Young Children® is one of the world's leading music-learning
systems - the only child-centered program to integrate keyboard,
singing, creative movement, rhythm, ear training, sight-reading,
music theory and composition. Because we offer a group class, teachers
use a variety of activities to incorporate all learning styles. Music
games help to teach and reinforce basic theory concepts. Movement
has always been a part of MYC® instruction, and the instructor will
add more or less based on the dynamics of the class. Creativity is
encouraged and rewarded with students participating annually in the
largest composing festival in the world. Parents learn right along
with their child. Not only do children receive instruction
in playing the piano, but they also sing, play rhythm instruments,
and compose music. MYC® meets the requirements of the BC Education
System Projected Learning Outcomes and will help you to provide the
best education for your child.

“We, of parents of a 5 year old very active boy
couldn't have imagined that he is now playing "Happy Birthday" at
his sister's party. The program has empowered us as parents
to teach our son to play the piano, even though we have never
played. We couldn't say enough about his instructor Julie
Pitre. She has been very kind and patience in guiding
all the children in a very fun, positive environment. We
would highly recommend Julie and the MYC program to any of
our friends.”
